Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Location: Lake Butler, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Type: 13+ weeks contract to hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately.
• Perform and oversee sterile compounding according to USP <797> and USP <800> standards.
• Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations to ensure patient safety.
• Review medication profiles for safety concerns, including allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering professional growth.
• Maintain strict cleanroom protocols, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring.
• Participate in quality assurance, medication safety initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Manage comprehensive documentation related to compounding, batch records, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with inventory management, including controlled substances and general pharmacy operations.
• Support creation and implementation of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training.
• Engage actively in staff meetings and professional development conferences.

Qualifications:

• Current, active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Minimum one year of experience in hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding adhering to USP <797> , USP <800> , DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication skills.
