Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand clients' history and needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique trauma recovery journey.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate emotional healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that allow clients to share their experiences, develop coping strategies, and foster interpersonal skills.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to create a comprehensive care plan, advocating for clients' needs and facilitating follow-up care.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate support and resources.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, self-care strategies, and available resources to support their mental health journey.
\n
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying informed about the latest trauma therapy research and trends.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients dealing with trauma from various backgrounds, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, veterans, and individuals coping with significant life changes. Your role as a therapist is pivotal in providing the support and understanding necessary for these individuals as they navigate their path toward healing.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, preferably in trauma therapy.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and therapeutic modalities.

• Demonstrated ability to implement trauma-focused therapy techniques effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting compassion and a non-judgmental approach.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and standard computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
