Work Environment\n

This position offers the unique advantage of a remote work arrangement, allowing for flexibility while still delivering essential mental health services. The daily work schedule is typically Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans that respect patients’ cultural backgrounds.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, incorporating methods like cognitive-behavioral therapy, to support and empower clients in their recovery journey.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health concerns, fostering resilience, and promoting overall well-being.

• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to deliver coordinated, holistic care to patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support when required, ensuring clients have access to immediate resources during challenging moments.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to enhance their understanding and support network.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation aligned with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of patient records.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a broad array of clients, primarily from diverse cultural backgrounds, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems. Your role will not only involve direct therapy but also active listening and advocacy, ensuring that each patient receives care that respects their unique cultural identity and lived experiences. Your expertise in culturally responsive approaches will play a critical role in building trust and rapport with clients, which is essential for effective therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and a strong emphasis on cultural competence.

Compensation and Benefits\n
