Solution Architect (Payments & Cards)

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect (15+ years) to lead the modernization of monolithic payment platforms into modern, event-driven microservices architectures. You will leverage OpenKyber s proven industry expertise to design resilient, secure, and scalable payment ecosystems that enhance speed-to-market and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Payments Transformation Design, plan, and execute the modernization of monolithic payment platforms into microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Data Migration & Modernization Lead complex data migration initiatives, transitioning data from legacy monolithic systems to modern, cloud-native storage and processing architectures while ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Tokenization & Security Architect robust, PCI DSS v4.0 compliant tokenization strategies to replace sensitive Cardholder Data (CHD) and enable tokenized payment models across all channels.
• Integration & Orchestration Design payment orchestration layers that support cards, Tokenization, Issuance, Acquiring and overall cards workflow
• Architectural Governance Establish architectural blueprints, guidelines, and reference architectures for authorization, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation flows.

• Experience 8+ years in enterprise architecture, platform engineering, or solutions architecture within the banking, fintech, or payments domain.
• Modernization Expertise Proven track record of managing complex modernization projects, specifically executing data migration strategies from legacy environments to modern platforms.
• Core Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience in payment tokenization standards, encryption, HSM/KMS secrets management, and zero-trust security.
• Technical Proficiency Extensive experience with REST API/SOAP implementations, Java, Python, SQL, and Springboot.
• Methodology: Proven ability to work within Agile frameworks (SAFe) using tools such as Jira, Rally, and Clarity.
