Job Overview: The Regional Banking and Lending Consultant is a critical role within the Banking & Lending organization. Our aspiration at LPL is to be the best firm in Wealth Management. To deliver on this, we are investing in best-in-class banking and lending solutions that will help advisors to serve their clients’ needs more holistically. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to partner closely with internal teams and Advisors and their clients to drive adoption of LPL’s banking and lending solutions including Cash Management Accounts, margin, our proprietary Secured Credit Account (SCA), and our partner offerings within LPL’s industry-leading distribution network. Your primary focus will be to support our new SCA, a securities-based line of credit which provides Advisors with a new liquidity tool to help their clients take advantage of an opportunity to invest in a new business or real estate or meet an unexpected expense – all without disrupting their investment portfolio strategy. You will also work with Advisors to understand and implement a broad array of cash management capabilities to meet their clients’ day-to-day banking needs. You will be part of a team that plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional Advisor experience. Responsibilities: Serve as SCA, margin, and banking solutions expert and drive awareness among Advisors and the Advisor-facing LPL teams that support them. Educate Advisors on how to integrate banking and lending capabilities into their practices to better meet clients’ financial needs and expand their businesses. Develop and disseminate best practices and sales enablement tools that help Advisors identify clients’ banking and lending needs and the optimal solutions to meet them. Attend recruited Advisor HOVs and LPL conferences to market banking and lending solutions. Collaborate with the Advisor Transitions team to provide white-glove service to newly recruited Advisors and help them transition their clients’ loans to LPL. Collaborate with Advisors and their clients to develop tailored solutions for complex banking and lending needs. Serve as the voice of the Advisor and provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement to the Product Manager, Lending Solutions. What are we looking for? Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Series 7 License or ability to obtain within 90 days. 10+ years of experience within financial services with strong knowledge of banking and lending products including securities-backed lending and margin. Proven experience driving adoption of banking and lending products in an Advisor-led wealth management organization. Exceptional ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and Advisors. Adept at influencing colleagues and Advisors to embrace new ideas and methods. Core Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling presentations to small and large audiences in a variety of venues. Strong desire and ability to solve problems and find creative solutions to meet Advisor and client needs. High commitment to owning the end-to-end resolution of issues. Ability to learn, assimilate, and communicate information effectively. Skilled at tailoring messages to diverse Advisor audiences with different business models. Willingness to travel as necessary to LPL’s sites and to visit key partners. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results. Pay Range: $120,300-$200,500/year Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
