Supply Chain Planning Manager

Supply Chain Planning Manager – Location: US Texas Austin Research Blvd. Reporting to the Sr. Director Materials, the Supply Chain Planning Manager will develop, direct, and coordinate material planning activities to balance supply and demand and enhance customer service levels. What a typical day looks like Direct the team in the use of best practices in daily execution of finished goods and WIP planning. Manage, coach and mentor a team, working on continuous development and performance management. Direct activities of Material Planners and Buyers to ensure inventory level and turnover goals are achieved, including reducing backorders and enhancing customer service. Meet with Senior Management to obtain strategic information that could impact the forecast; work with the team to modify the forecast for historical and environmental events; collaborate with departments to develop and maintain an accurate forecast. Hold cross‑functional meetings to review the supply and demand plan. Review issues and make recommendations addressing long‑term constraints, customer service levels, inventory targets, current forecast, and backlog. Experience we’re looking for 10 years of experience in a similar position. Strong communication skills. Supervisory experience. Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and data. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to top management and customers. Demonstrates advanced functional, technical, and people/process management skills, and strong customer relationship skills. Preferred experiences Experience with Kinaxis or Rapid Response.
