Accounts Receivable Specialist II - Contractor

Description
Responsibilities:
Process and accurately record customer payments and accounts receivable transactions.
Maintain accurate customer account information and financial records.
Apply payments to appropriate customer accounts and invoices.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies, account issues, and unidentified payments.
Reconcile customer accounts and assist with resolving outstanding balances.
Review accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances as directed.
Respond professionally to customer and internal inquiries regarding account balances and payments.
Prepare routine reports, spreadsheets, and account documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
Maintain organized records and supporting documentation.
Follow established accounting procedures, internal controls, and company policies.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment-related issues.
Identify and communicate potential issues or discrepancies to appropriate team members.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
One to Three Years Experience
Previous accounts receivable, accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to learn accounting or ERP systems.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines.
