Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab/EP Tech will assist in the operational functions of the electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization laboratories. This role supports procedural workflows and ensures compliance with all safety and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the lab environment, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Assist physicians during complex cardiac ablation, device implantation, and electrophysiology studies.
• Ensure all documentation, including compliance questionnaires and module completion, is accurately completed.
• Verify all required licensing, certifications, and background checks are current before start.
• Float to different campuses as needed and support multidisciplinary teams in high-volume labs.
• Follow all hospital policies regarding tardiness, absences, and compliance deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience of at least 2 years working in a cardiac cath or EP lab environment.
• Current active license in relevant clinical scope.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS required; RCIS or RCES preferred.
• Knowledge of arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, and device programming.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system and adherence to compliance protocols.
• Ability to pass the EKG exam and complete required modules during orientation.
