Field Service Technician – Industrial Woodworking Machinery Company: Felder Group USA Location: New Castle, DE Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday (occasional weekends as needed) | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (field hours may vary) Work Type: In-office and field-based Compensation: Hourly pay starting at $25/hr, with higher compensation available based on experience and technical background. Overtime opportunities Per diem for field assignments Performance incentives Paid travel time at full hourly rate About the Role Felder Group USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial woodworking machinery across the greater Delaware area and surrounding regions. This role combines mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with independent field service work and customer-facing technical support. Technicians work both in the field and at the local facility supporting service operations, machine demonstrations, and equipment preparation. Technicians work closely with Service Planners who coordinate scheduling, travel, and logistics. Our Service Team ensures customers receive timely, expert support for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Key Responsibilities Field Service Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial woodworking machinery at customer sites (residential and commercial) Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational machine issues independently Document service work, parts usage, and findings accurately and promptly Communicate service needs, parts requirements, and job status to customers and internal teams Recommend appropriate spare parts and service solutions as needed Participate in trade shows and customer-facing technical events In-Office & Technical Support Provide technical support via phone, email, and video Support machine demonstrations with sales representatives Assist with showroom and warehouse setup, machine preparation, and equipment service Support general organization and upkeep of shop and showroom areas Coordinate with Service Planners regarding scheduling, travel, and service assignments Qualifications Required Experience in field service, mechanical repair, electrical systems, or technical support Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently in field environments Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Basic computer proficiency (email, Microsoft Office, service systems) Valid driver’s license Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physical environments Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required Preferred Experience with woodworking machinery or industrial machinery service Familiarity with service ticketing or helpdesk systems Experience recommending or selling replacement parts Electro‑mechanical or industrial maintenance background Benefits & Equipment Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays Paid training (domestic and international opportunities) Company‑provided tools, laptop, and cell phone Company vehicle for local assignments Per diem for field assignments Paid travel time at full hourly rate Overtime opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Felder Group USA
