Operations/Supply Planner

Reporting to: Planning & Fulfillment Manager Location: Onsite, Richmond, VA Your Role And Responsibilities In this role, you will generate constrained engineering and production plans, material plans, and WIP inventory rationalization, including Sales in Excess (SIE) invoicing to improve service levels. You will assemble and analyze all data for constrained engineering (for Engineered-To-Order businesses) and production planning, use rough‑cut and detailed capacity planning, and link it to the demand plan. You will also optimize working capital. Master Production Scheduling: prepare short‑term and long‑term Master Production Schedules, monitor plan vs actual, and conduct capacity planning. Supply Chain Alignment: work closely with Procurement to align supply and sourcing strategies, consider capacity constraints, and manage WIP to reduce cycle times. Production Order Management: release orders in SAP, minimise material movement errors, and ensure schedule adherence with the Material Planner. Bill of Materials Coordination: coordinate with project management/engineering to maintain accurate BOMs. Root Cause Analysis: identify key root causes for deviations, implement initiatives to enhance schedule adherence. Process Improvement: drive improvements through digital solutions & analytics, manage inventory impacts, recommend WIP rationalisation, and feed into the Inventory Checkbook. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or related field with minimum 5 years of experience in master scheduling, material planning, purchasing, or supply chain. Experience in SAP MM/PP/SD. Proficiency in Microsoft Power Query, Power BI, and data analysis (preferred). Experience in inventory management & control. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
