Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

This is a locum tenens opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas, part of the SCP Health - Locums health system. The coverage period is from Sep 01, 2026, to ongoing. The shift schedule includes various shifts: Mon 9a-9p/1p-1a, Tue-Thu 9a-8p/2p-1a, Fri-Sun 10a-7p/3p-12a. The reason for coverage is general coverage. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

The average daily patient volume is 84 patients per day. The facility is a Level IV trauma center and uses the Medhost EMR system.

Hospital privileges are required, with a credentialing timeline of 90 days. Temporary privileges are available and expedited for clean files.

An active Texas license is required, along with certifications in ACLS (AHA only), ATLS, and PALS.

Duties include providing coverage for the ER department as scheduled, adhering to the active Texas license and maintaining required certifications, utilizing the Medhost EMR for documentation, working with expedited privileges for clean files, and maintaining a minimum availability of 3 shifts per month.
