Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level One Trauma Center Operating Room specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures.

Details

Level One Trauma Center Operating Room with 26 beds

Specializes in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures including PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopies, and Ureteroscopies

Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics

1:1 patient ratios

Uses Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Da Vinci Xi robotic equipment

Epic EMR system

Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

1:4 weekend rotation with 12-hour shifts

On-call requirement of one overnight Trauma call shift, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Call for specialty teams (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho) scheduled per specialty team rules

May float up to 25 miles between facilities as needed

Requirements

CST certification required

License required if applicable

Minimum 2 years of experience required

Level 1 trauma experience required

Competency in robotic surgery (Da Vinci Xi) required

Experience with GU/GYN procedures required

Preferred experience in General, Ortho trauma, Ortho joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, or Endovascular surgery

Epic EMR experience required

Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references required

Teal scrubs issued by the hospital

Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, accountability, and strong teamwork skills

First-time travelers may be considered

Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are accepted at a reduced local rate

Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions

Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this during consideration

RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion

Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited on the unit
