Welder (1st shift)

Location: Hastings, NE 68901
Work Schedule: Mon to Fri / 1st Shift / OT: 5-10 hours weekly available upon request.
Pay rate: 22$ per hour
Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 6-month duration (temp to hire)

Role Overview
Welds, repairs, and prepares mechanical components using MIG, MAG, TIG, stick, and manual lathe equipment according to technical blueprints, safety standards, and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Welding & Machining: Execute welds, operate conventional lathes, interpret blueprints, and complete repairs or heat treatments.
• Quality & Operations: Inspect completed work, track data, troubleshoot issues, and meet output and scrap targets.
• Safety & Collaboration: Follow safety rules, maintain tools, and partner with team members to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Welder certification, High School Diploma/GED (1–2+ years' experience), and basic computer/math skills.
• Physical & Schedule: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand long hours, and work overtime on short notice.
• Preferred: Experience in mechanical manufacturing/valves, PT/MT certifications, and basic SAP knowledge.
