Life Support Instructor 4 (PRN)

Inova Well is looking for a dedicated Life Support Instructor 4 to join our team. This role will be PRN, Days Vary

The Life Support Instructor 4 teaches Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/ or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). This role supports the Inova Health System/ Inova Well American Heart Association Training Center, teaching ACLS and or PALS classes while providing the highest quality learning environment and educational instruction for the health system and community healthcare professionals.

Life Support Instructor 4 Job Responsibilities:

• Teaches Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) classes.
• Performs necessary administrative functions in accordance with educational program policies.
• Ensures equipment is will maintained and in working order.
• Maintains professional status to ensure the highest quality educational programs.
• Adheres to AHA and Inova Health System/ Inova Well Training Center policies and procedures.
• Teaches a minimum of 25 hours per quarter, although the ideal candidate will be available to teach 1-2 days per month.
• Maintains excellent records and organizes classes.
• Adheres to AHA and Inova Health System/ Inova Well Training Center policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certification: Must hold a current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor Card and/or a current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Instructor Card upon start.
• Experience: Must have experience in working in a clinical setting for example; EMS, EMT, RN, LPN, RT etc.

PRN Shift Availability:

• PALS - Classes are typically 1-2 times each month for 2 consecutive days, usually on Wednesdays and Thursdays
• ACLS – Classes are usually 1 day weekly or 2 consecutive days a week for 2-day classes, 2-3 times a month (average minimum of 6 days a month)
