Job Description Summary Prepares and processes tissue samples for routine histologic techniques to be examined under a microscope by a pathologist. The histologic techniques include fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining of human and animal tissue for evaluation. Minimum Training andEducation Associates degree from an accredited college/university with a combination of 12 semester hours in biology andchemistry(must include credit hours in both). Experience: Atleast 1 year of clinical laboratory workexperiencerequired. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations :HT(ASCP) certification by American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) or equivalent.
