This is a full-time in office position. ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all aspects of Estimating processConduct thorough analysis of drawings and specifications, ensuring required information is provided. Perform detailed project cost estimate using estimating software such as HCSS. Research selected products from a cost and constructability perspective. Solicit sub-contractor pricing and bids for different trades in preparation of cost estimate. Review progress and construction documents for constructability. Lead and participate in discussion regarding alternate detail and materials for specific areas or trades. Provide and present value engineering options and costs.Provide and present estimating productions and scheduling.Coordinate administrative staff in sending documents to vendors.QualificationsCollege degree in Engineering or Construction Management.Minimum 15+ years’ heavy civil estimating experience Substantial construction experience and / or engineering backgroundHave a thorough understanding of construction means and methods.Local knowledge of the industry. Must be fluent in English – written and oral.SkillsHighly proficient in selected software (Excel, Word, Outlook) HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software and P6 a plus.Ability to make decisions, work independently and coordinate estimating colleagues. Please note that the salary range listed is specific to the role listed in California. Salary rates may vary for different individuals in the same role based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, and performance.
