Finance Data Governance Lead Analyst

Position Overview Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Finance Data Governance Lead Analyst for its Finance Data Strategy & Management team in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The analyst will lead data governance activities, support data quality and compliance initiatives, and collaborate across finance and business functions to improve financial data processes in alignment with the Common Information Model. Key Responsibilities Execute core data governance activities to ensure accuracy of financial data across actuals, planning, and reporting. Maintain and update data management policies, standards, procedures, and supporting documentation, including Data Scope, Data Dictionary, L3/L4, DTPs, and work instructions. Analyze data quality issues, support rule monitoring, and identify root causes and corrective actions aligned with the Common Information Model. Support adherence to financial data management practices that align with internal controls, policies, and standards. Partner with finance, master data, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and address data-related needs. Utilize and support governance tools such as master data intake tools, ServiceNow, and related reporting solutions to monitor and improve processes. Develop training materials and documentation to reinforce data governance principles and consistent working practices. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to data governance and transformation initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, technology or related field. Master’s degree preferred. 3-5 years of experience in finance, financial systems, finance data processes, or data governance. Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify issues, and support practical solutions. Demonstrated learning agility, intellectual curiosity, and initiative. Excellent Microsoft Excel, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work across evolving business needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP and finance master data, hierarchies, or governance workflows. Experience with data profiling, data quality analysis, governance reporting, or issue tracking. Experience creating and maintaining process documentation, desktop procedures, or work instructions. Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Power BI, or similar process‑mapping and reporting tools. Availability to be on site in New Brunswick, NJ at least three days per week; travel up to 10% required. Salary Information Anticipated base pay range: $94,000 – $151,800.
