Lead Cook - FT - Weekdays Only - Augusta

Position: Food Service Technician – Bismarck Facility Work Shift: Varies. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40. Salary Range: $18.00 – $28.00 per hour, with potential $4,000 sign‑on bonus. Responsibilities Perform all duties in food preparation as assigned. Provide daily direction to cooks and other staff ensuring departmental standards and goals are met. Prepare, cook, season and portion food for patients, residents, staff and visitors while following menu and dietary requirements. Adhere to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation. Wash and clean equipment and cooking areas to maintain sanitation. Label and store food, equipment and machinery appropriately. Use equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, stovetops, induction burners, grills, deep‑fryers, dishwashers, garbage disposals, refrigerators and freezers. Follow standardized recipes and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines; document HACCP steps, temperatures and outcomes. Work independently as needed and maintain focus in a dynamic culinary environment. Perform basic math and read/write directions. Stand for majority of day and walk long distances throughout the hospital. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions. Ability to perform basic math. Minimum two years experience; prior leadership experience preferred. Will receive on‑job training; Serv Safe certification may be required.
