Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of a residential apartment community in Warrensville Heights, OH.

This position involves HVAC maintenance and repair, general apartment maintenance, and ensuring units meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and capable of managing a variety of maintenance tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC inspections, maintenance, and repairs on residential units
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
• Complete work orders for unit repairs, turnovers, and common area maintenance
• Inspect units and identify maintenance needs during property walkthroughs
• Perform general repairs including drywall, painting, carpentry, and fixture replacement
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and parts used
• Communicate status updates and issues to the project supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a residential or apartment setting
• HVAC certification (EPA 608 or equivalent) required
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC systems independently
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple work orders in a single day
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Preferred:

• Familiarity with apartment turnover processes
• Experience in a residential apartment community setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Rate: $24.00 - $28.00/hr, commensurate with experience

Work Environment

On-site position at a residential apartment community. This role requires physical activity including lifting, climbing, and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions. Technicians will move between units and common areas throughout the day.
