Procurement Specialist

Manitowoc - Local Manufacturer of commercial cleaning supplies is looking to hire a Procurement Specialist to add to their team. This person will ensure that the appropriate supplier base is developed and managed to ensure that Business expectations are met in terms of Total Costs of Ownership, Service and Quality with a special focus on Home Cleaning Chemicals raw materials. Responsibilities: Manage relationships with suppliers to meet current and future business expectations and ensure that the plant needs are met in full, in terms of price, service level and quality (lowest TCO). Assist in supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding processes in collaboration with Quality and R&D teams. Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies for chemical ingredients used in home cleaning products (e.g., surfactants, solvents, fragrances, preservatives). Support the resolution of recurrent service, quality issues within his/her supplier base Plan and execute a yearly saving plan leveraging all the opportunities and deploying the Group Procurement strategy Contribute to sustainability and compliance initiatives by evaluating suppliers? adherence to regulatory and environmental standards. Establish and maintain professional internal and external relationships to generate good customer service and create a positive image Qualifications: SAP Experience 5-7 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing and/or processing environment, with functional expertise in sourcing and procurement. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or associate's degree in supply chain management with equivalent experience
