Job Title: Tech 3, Equipment Maintenance
Location: Hunt Valley/Cockeysville, MD
Pay: $31.05/hr.
Schedule: Mon-Fri | 2:00pm-10:30pm. Onboarding: 1 week required (Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm)
- Training requirement: must be able to work 1st shift for ~3 months during training ( Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm )
Overview
We’re hiring an Equipment Maintenance Tech to support highly automated manufacturing equipment in the AutoPak area. This role combines machine operation responsibilities with routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation within a GMP environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine setup/operation, preventative maintenance (PM), and troubleshooting on complex automated manufacturing equipment (AutoPak)
- Control and adjust machine settings; support production, quality, downtime, and waste targets
- Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance/repairs, adjustments, and inspections
- Independently run multiple lines and manage changeovers
- Conduct root-cause analysis on process/product exceptions and resolve equipment performance issues
- Maintain accurate quality/safety/maintenance documentation and follow GMP standards
- Coordinate with outside contractors/vendors as needed
- Follow all housekeeping and safety policies; work overtime as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED plus:
- Certificate + 2 years relevant experience OR
- 4 years relevant experience
- Strong mechanical/pneumatic/electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Ability to read/interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints
- Comfortable using a PC (Excel/Word), multimeter, calibration tools, and precision measuring instruments
Preferred Experience
- Industrial control systems troubleshooting (instrumentation, ladder logic, relay logic, VFD, servo, etc.)
- PLC operations, robotics, and vision systems
- Mechanical design tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- SAP Maintenance Module (or similar CMMS)
- Mill/lathe, welding, bearing press experience
