People & Culture Business Partner

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The People & Culture Business Partner (PCBP) works with the Brand Digital & Technology team to drive business results through people, culture, and inclusivity. This critical role provides thought leadership, strong business partnership, and execution across the full employee experience, including onboarding, culture and engagement, performance management, bench planning, change management, organizational effectiveness, and development/talent planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing Talent – 40%

• Lead implementation of a talent strategy that builds capability and drives performance to achieve business strategy and objectives.
• Serve as a strategic partner to BU CDTOs to drive effective internal development and succession planning processes, resulting in a stronger bench across departments.
• Support, lead, and advise on employee relations and performance management issues in partnership with local PCBPs and Legal on international nuances.
• Partner with COEs and Global and Division P&C partners to enable and facilitate the Building People Capability (BPC) cycle, including goal setting, feedback, professional development, and leadership capability building.
• Provide talent insights and expertise to build a scalable and efficient global team structure, ensuring the right capabilities, skill sets, and infrastructure are in place.
• Manage employee life-cycle needs, including promotions, transfers, resignations, and terminations, in partnership with local BU PCBPs and Finance partners.
• Partner with TA team and local BU PCBPs on open roles, talent pipeline, and business capabilities needed to drive results; support open-role tracking, Global Capability Centers, and the AOP process as liaison to Global/Markets.
• Build bench strength for key roles and develop high-performing teams by identifying development needs and recommending programs and experiences that support employee growth.

Developing People – 25%

• Identify capability needs and partner with Organizational Development on appropriate solutions to continue building individual, coach, and organizational capability.
• Support and lead onboarding for CDTOs and key leadership roles in partnership with local BU PCBPs and PCD.

Driving Organizational Effectiveness & Stakeholder Management – 25%

• Develop an engaging and inclusive culture based on the KFC People Promise and Culture Values, and the Unified D&T Division.
• Collaborate with C-suite stakeholders to lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring alignment across business units and effective executive-level communication.
• Implement change management frameworks and processes that guide the organization through transformation and support adoption across global operations.
• Support post-change team integration efforts, fostering unity and high performance aligned with Yum! values.
• Build brilliant fundamentals and facilitate change management processes and programs in a dynamic business environment.
• Partner with the P&C Director, Talent Manager, Communications partner, and department heads to drive effective organization design and structure that enables strong performance and efficient decision making.
• Effectively execute key organizational and leadership changes.
• Lead outside-in thinking to stay current on HR industry news.
• Lead key projects that support organizational development and effectiveness.

HR Team Support – 10%

• Provide guidance on P&C policies, procedures, and conflict resolution; conduct investigations and recommend solutions that maintain a positive and inclusive workplace.
• Address employee concerns with empathy and confidentiality.
• Identify process breakdowns and work with appropriate teams to update systems, tools, and processes to drive effectiveness.
• Update ADP as needed andmaintainorganization charts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of HR experience.
• Strong coaching, client management, and “taking people with you” skills.
• Proven ability to build client partnerships and leverage processes and tools to drive work to closure.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to execute strategy and corresponding tactics on a timely basis.
• Exceptional coach and trusted advisor.
• Proven project leadership and strong understanding of HR policies and practices.
• Role models the culture and creates passion in others for living the culture values.
• Experience facilitating groups and conducting training.
• Excellent conflict management skills, including leading others through productive conflict and team effectiveness.
• Ability to work independently and develop recommendations, while also working as a strong team player and collaborator.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• PHR or SHRM certification.
