Our community is a close-knit group of remarkable individuals driven by intellectual inquiry, a commitment to social justice, and a shared dedication to making a difference in the world.RequirementsJob OverviewThe Assistant Director is responsible for the daily management and representation of the Mortara Center, including outreach and development, event management, and program and budget administration, as well as promotion of the Center’s extensive and varied activities with a consistent and effective message to the Georgetown University campus, the Washington D.C. community and beyond.Work InteractionsThe Assistant Director reports to the Mortara Director and supervises all center operations and student employees.Requirements and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in relevant field and at least 3 years of closely related professional experience in program administration and event planning, preferably in higher education.Master’s degree in a relevant field such as international affairs is preferred.Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and the capacity to interact effectively with a diverse community, including students, faculty, staff, university administrators, donors, and media.Proficiency in technologies related to the functions of the position. Must develop proficiency in the Workday Financials system.Work Mode DesignationThis position has been designated as On-Campus.
