Quality Inspector Off Shift – Custom Machine Shop
2nd and Weekend shifts (flexible work hours)

Up to $32/hour DOE

Advance CNC Machining is looking for an experienced  Quality Inspector who is extremely detail-oriented, focused, conscientious, and driven to get things right.

At Advance CNC Machining, we specialize in producing high-precision machined parts for customers across the country, including equipment manufacturers and customers in the food, pharmaceutical, aerospace, and defense industries. What You'll Do

• Perform precision inspections on machined parts using CMM’s and other inspection tools such as gages, calipers, micrometers, and bore gages. 
• Analyze drawings and create inspection plans to determine the best method of inspection for efficiency and accuracy.
• Work closely with the production team, engineers, and management to communicate quality issues and provide input on improvements
• Conduct floor audits including visual and dimension inspection and work closely with the team to catch issues early to prevent scrap.
• Assess risks and discern appropriate action
• Review and interpret CMM inspection reports to ensure parts meet quality standards
• Conduct first article approvals

Compensation & Benefits

• Up to $32/hour, depending on experience
• 401(k) with a generous 100% employer match up to $5,200 per year
• 80 hours of PTO in your first year, increasing annually up to 200 hours

The skills needed:

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, understanding tolerances and customer requirements
• Deep knowledge of quality control principles
• Sharp attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
• 3 years related hands-on experience performing dimensional inspections in a shop environment
• Excellent quantitative aptitude
• Able to work well in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Proficient at communicating clearly and effectively
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
