Operations Specialist

The Operations Specialist will provide operational leadership for complex, systemwide initiatives with high-visibility stakeholders and executive-level sponsors.
This role combines project coordination, operational oversight, and strategic execution to help translate organizational priorities into measurable results.
You will apply standardized project management methodologies, processes, and tools to guide initiatives from planning through delivery.
The position will work across teams to support improvements in quality, efficiency, cost management, and operational performance.
Success in this role requires strong organization, communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities within defined budgets and timelines.
The role offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful initiatives within a healthcare environment while working with stakeholders across the organization.
This is a full-time, remote position designed for an experienced operations professional who enjoys driving structured, high-impact work.

Accountabilities

• Provide operational leadership and oversight for systemwide initiatives involving complex projects, executive sponsors, and multiple stakeholders.

• Support the development, planning, implementation, and delivery of strategic initiatives aligned with organizational priorities and culture.

• Apply standardized project management methodologies, processes, and tools to maintain consistency and accountability across initiatives.

• Coordinate stakeholders and project activities to ensure initiatives are delivered within approved budgets, schedules, and quality expectations.

• Monitor project progress, identify risks or operational challenges, and support timely resolution of issues.

• Contribute to quality improvement and cost-reduction initiatives where applicable.

• Facilitate collaboration across departments and support effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

• Maintain appropriate project documentation, processes, and reporting to support transparency and successful execution.

Requirements

• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.

• At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably within a healthcare or similarly complex operational environment.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.

• Experience supporting or leading projects involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and defined timelines.

• Experience with quality improvement, operational optimization, or cost-reduction initiatives preferred.

• Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage stakeholders at different organizational levels.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to delivering work within established standards, budgets, and deadlines.
