Financial Analyst

Essential Job Functions Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests - Efficiently create complex documents and/or reports using spreadsheet software Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes Analyze complex financial data to determine appropriate recommendation for action Responsibilities Analyze sales, margin, inventory, markdowns, and promotional performance across merchandise categories Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, forecasts, and business performance analyses for leadership teams Support budgeting, forecasting, and seasonal planning processes for the Merchandising department Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within product categories and provide actionable recommendationsCollaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Planning, Inventory Management, and Finance teams on ad hoc analysis and strategic projects Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field 2–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, analytics, retail, or related internships/co‑op programs preferred Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly Experience with reporting or data visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Oracle is a plus.
