Database Administrator

The Database Administrator (DBA) manages and maintains production and non-production databases supporting the JWEB application. The DBA is responsible for ensuring stable, secure, and efficient database operations throughout modernization, migration, and integration initiatives. Responsibilities include physical data storage design, database maintenance, performance tuning, access and security administration, backup and recovery operations, and ongoing database optimization. Role and Responsibilities of the Resource Request Participate in the design, creation, enhancement, and maintenance of databases supporting JWEB and other justice-sector integrations Support modernization efforts through database upgrades, refactoring, data conversions, and incremental migration activities Ensure data integrity, availability, and accuracy across legacy and modernized environments Perform database monitoring, quality control, auditing, and performance tuning activities Collaborate with management, development teams, and infrastructure teams to support database strategies aligned with modernization goals Maintain database security, backup processes, and disaster recovery readiness Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize operational impact Scheduled Milestones and Deliverables Ensure successful execution of all daily, weekly, and monthly database maintenance jobs Maintain stable and secure database operations supporting the JWEB environment Provide prompt resolution of JWEB database-related incidents and issues Support database modernization, migration, and integration milestones according to project timelines Ensure backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes are functioning effectively and tested regularly Metrics to be Utilized to Measure the Performance of this Resource System Performance & Availability Database uptime percentage (target 99.9% availability or greater) Database performance and system responsiveness Reliability & Maintenance Backup success rate and restore completion time Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) following failures or outages Successful completion of scheduled maintenance activities Security & Compliance Number of security incidents detected and prevented Audit compliance results and adherence to security standards Accuracy of access controls and least-privilege compliance Index utilization and optimization effectiveness Storage utilization and capacity management Database performance tuning improvements and efficiency gains #J-18808-Ljbffr BuzzClan
