Senior Electrical Project ManagerWe're looking for a driven commercial electrical leader ready to spearhead the next big stage of growth for an established electrical contracting division. This isn't a traditional PM seat where projects just land on your desk after the award — this is a build-it role. You'll hunt down the work, estimate it, win it, run it, and put the systems in place to scale the division to the next level.You'll be stepping into a company with a strong foundation and a track record of standout projects — but the electrical division is growing fast and needs a driven leader who brings structure, relationships, estimating sharpness, and serious execution horsepower. If you're energized by the idea of building something bigger, not just settling into a seat someone else already built, this is your role.What You'll DoEstimating & Business DevelopmentReview plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documentsPerform takeoffs and prepare accurate electrical estimatesEvaluate bid opportunities based on project type, size, margin, schedule, and company fitBuild and maintain relationships with GCs, estimators, project managers, vendors, and field partnersHelp the company get onto new GC bid lists and generate repeat bidding opportunitiesConvert estimating opportunities into awarded projectsProject Management & Field ExecutionLead electrical projects from bid review through final closeoutManage project schedules, budgets, labor planning, materials, and documentationCoordinate with foremen and field crews to keep work moving efficientlyAnticipate risks, scope gaps, change-order opportunities, material needs, and schedule constraintsSupport labor planning and crew ramp-up/ramp-down based on project demandDivision Growth & LeadershipSupport hiring, mentoring, and development of field and operational team membersBuild and improve SOPs, estimating standards, workflows, and communication processesCommunicate clearly across internal teams, GCs, vendors, subcontractors, clients, and field crewsHelp shape the electrical division into a stronger, more scalable, stand-alone businessWhat We're Looking ForThe strongest fit is someone already doing this work today — comfortable operating across both the field and the office, and able to work without being told what to do every day. You bring leadership, urgency, ownership, and follow-through.Required QualificationsSignificant experience in commercial electrical contracting, project management, and estimatingProven experience managing electrical projects from bid review through closeoutAbility to perform takeoffs, build estimates, review scopes, and support bidding strategyDirect experience working with GCs, estimators, project managers, vendors, and field teamsAbility to identify viable bid opportunities and help pursue new workExperience managing schedules, budgets, labor planning, materials, field execution, and documentationAbility to lead foremen and coordinate internal field crewsExperience with projects ranging from approximately $20K to $1M+ in electrical scopeStrong communication, leadership, organization, and follow-throughComfort with digital tools, communication platforms, and estimating/project documentation systemsWillingness to work in-office and travel to job sites, up to 25% across Southern CaliforniaPreferred Qualifications8+ years of electrical industry experienceElectrical license or certificationExperience estimating and managing the same projects from bid through completionExisting relationships in the Southern California commercial construction marketExperience helping grow, scale, or professionalize an electrical division or business unitExperience creating SOPs, estimating standards, labor planning processes, or PM workflowsExperience hiring, mentoring, or managing electricians, foremen, journeymen, or field crewsExperience with tenant improvements, commercial buildouts, multifamily, lighting controls, medical facilities, public works, or prevailing wage projectsExperience with digital estimating software, Microsoft Teams, and modern project communication toolsBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related fieldBest-Fit Candidate ProfileA senior electrical project manager with strong estimating experience, or an estimator who has also managed awarded projectsA commercial electrical leader who knows how to build General Contractor relationships and win workA hands-on operator who can create structure, not just follow an existing oneA relationship-builder who earns trust with General Contractors, estimators, PMs, vendors, and field crewsA growth-minded leader motivated by ownership, accountability, and long-term impact
