What You’ll DoAs a Diesel Mechanic at Lawton Area Transit System, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our vehicles. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems.
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to identify effective solutions.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure all vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
Your expertise will help us provide reliable transportation to the Lawton community!
What We’re Looking ForTo succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, and diagnostic tools.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to maintenance and repairs.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety and quality in every task you undertake.
