Cleaning Technician

FTAI owns and maintains commercial jet engines with a focus on the Maintenance, Repair and Exchange (MRE) of CFM56 and V2500 engines. As a Cleaning Technician, you will conduct surface prep operations on turbine engine components and Landing Gears using chemical, mechanical, blasting and masking processes.

Shift schedule: 2:00 pm - 12:30 am

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-application preparation of parts and post-application tasks to prepare parts for subsequent manufacturing operations.
• Conduct a variety of cleaning processes on turbine engine components and landing gear using chemical and mechanical cleaning processes, following established procedures.
• Communicate frequently with team members regarding work instructions and voice problems to supervisors or other departments as required through work records.
• Perform various levels of equipment, environmental and safety maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• +5 years in a supervisory role
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
• Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Computer literacy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Manage a controlled workflow in a fast-paced environment

Job Demands:

Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb to reach materials, and work in a noisy environment.
