Occupational Therapist

Pay: $62.00 - $66.00 per hour

Our Apple Preschool is a dedicated special education preschool for children ages 3 to 5 years with special needs. We foster a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes independence, growth and self worth for both children and their families.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Apple Preschool. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the development success of our young learners.

Work schedule: School Calendar schedule. Per Diem or Part-Time opportunities available (up to 20 hours per week). Flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate children's occupational therapy needs
• Provide direct therapy services in a nurturing and engaging environment
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
• Complete quarterly and annual progress reports
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss student goals and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid New York State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs (preferred)
• Strong understanding of early childhood therapeutic practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
