CAD Drafter/Project Assistant

Position Overview Fence Masters is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter / Project Assistant to join our team full-time onsite in Chicago. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in growing within the construction and fencing industry. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and comfortable managing project handoffs in a fast-paced environment. Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software is required. Candidates with drafting, construction, fencing, or project coordination experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Create and revise fence layouts and construction drawings using CAD software Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and administrative support Review site plans, blueprints, surveys, and measurements Coordinate with project managers, crews, vendors, and clients Create work orders based on quotes and project plans Obtain and manage dig numbers and other related permitting information Track bids, proposals, and other key project metrics through organize project documentation Qualifications 2-3 years of drawing experience Recent graduate or early-career professional preferred Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting & Design Technology, CAD Technology, Construction Management, Architectural Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field preferred Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software required Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to read construction drawings and measurements Construction, fencing, or project coordination experience is preferred Motivated to learn and grow within the company Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows or automation tools is a plus Compensation Competitive pay based on experience Typical range: approximately $26–$34/hour Opportunity for long-term growth and advancement #J-18808-Ljbffr Fence Masters Inc
