Medical Assistant (CMA)

As a certified medical assistant at our clinic, you’ll work alongside our healthcare providers to deliver exceptional care to our patients. From taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams to administering medications and providing patient education, you’ll play a critical role in our patient’s health and well-being. Job Details: Full Time (12 hours shifts) Monday to Friday -weekend availability- Pay: Depending on experience and education Health Insurance Paid time off Job Summary: The CMA has duties and responsibilities related to patient care in the ambulatory clinic environment. The individual displays responsible behaviors, communicates effectively with others, and functions as a healthcare team member. The CMA functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when performing patient care. The CMA reports to the clinic manager or lead nurse, who is responsible for the administrative supervision and orientation of the CMA to the area’s policies and procedures. Obtains vital signs & assists patients in preparation for examination/ procedure. Records and documents in the medical record. Administers medications and immunizations. Organizes the clinic environment to assure patient safety. Reads & interprets medical records and physician orders. Reads & interprets equipment in conjunction with patient information. Displays responsible behaviors, communicates effectively to others and functions at the highest level based on the scope of practice. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA, or NRCMA) is required within the first 3 months of employment. The CMA must demonstrate competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care. Valid BLS CPR certification is required upon hire, and recertification is required every two years.
