• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
• Setting: Critical Access Hospital
• Start Date: July 2026
• Ongoing Coverage
• Schedule:
- July 16-August 10 - August 19-28 - Additional October coverage likely - Approximately 4 shifts per week - Day Shift: 8:00am-6:00pm - Overnight Beeper Call
• Guaranteed Hours: 10 hours per day
• EMR: Epic
• Temporary Privileges Available
### Requirements
• Board Certified Physician
• Active Alaska License or IMLC
• DEA
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
• Rural health experience strongly preferred
• Family Medicine physicians with broad-scope rural experience highly preferred
• Must be comfortable with Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, and Primary Care responsibilities
• OB and emergency C-section experience preferred
### Clinical Details
• Critical Access Hospital environment
• Approximately 4 patients per shift
• Emergency Department coverage
• Outpatient Primary Care coverage
• Inpatient management and admissions
• Overnight beeper call
• Must be comfortable stabilizing and transferring higher-acuity patients
• Emergency obstetrical care required
• Newborn deliveries may present through the ED
• No APP coverage
• Support staff includes RNs, MA, and administrative staff
• Limited specialty backup available onsite
• Trauma Level IV facility
