WAITER/WAITRESS (PART TIME)

Job Summary We are hiring immediately for part‑time WAITER/WAITRESS positions at The Anecdote at Kilroy Oyster Point, 348 Oyster Point Boulevard, South San Francisco, CA 94080. The position operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Pay ranges from $18.50 to $19.00 per hour. Internal promotion opportunities, health benefits, and an internal employee referral bonus are available. Experience: 5 years of prior serving experience preferred. Responsibilities Promptly greet guests and take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner. Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests. Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and specialized diets or allergens. Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested. Communicate directly with back‑of‑house staff to ensure correct orders and accommodate special requests. Exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility, patience, and professionalism with guests and staff. Collect tickets and follow proper cash‑handling procedures. Promote a clean, safe, and neat dining‑room environment. Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests. Promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors. Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods and meets sanitation standards. Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines. Collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous serving experience of 5 years or more preferred. Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
