Bartender — Emmy Squared Pizza, Old Town Alexandria

Love making a great drink and making people feel right at home? Come bartend with us at Emmy Squared Pizza. We’re a lively neighborhood spot known for Detroit-style pizza, house cocktails, and warm, genuine hospitality. We’re looking for someone who can bring good energy to the bar, keep service moving, and make guests want to come back.

You’ll be the person guests count on for a well-made drink, a great recommendation, and a welcoming experience. Whether you’re chatting with regulars, helping a first-time guest find a new favorite, or pitching in during a busy rush, you’ll help make the bar a fun place to be.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome guests, get to know what they like, and create a friendly, engaging bar experience.

• Make cocktails and serve beer and wine with care, consistency, and personality.

• Recommend drinks, food pairings, house cocktails, and seasonal specials.

• Keep guest orders accurate, communicate modifications or dietary needs, and check in to make sure guests are enjoying their visit.

• Keep the bar clean, organized, and stocked, including preparing garnishes and batch cocktails.

• Support the dining room and your teammates by keeping drinks moving during busy shifts.

• Handle guest concerns with care and urgency, and bring in a manager when extra help is needed.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have bartending experience in a full-service restaurant and know your way around beer, wine, and spirits.

• Enjoy talking with guests and making thoughtful recommendations.

• Bring a team-first attitude, clear communication, and a steady presence when things get busy.

• Can handle payments accurately and keep an eye on bar supplies.

• Meet local alcohol service permit requirements and are comfortable standing and moving throughout a shift.

If this sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear from you!
