The ideal candidate will bring accounts payable experience within the legal industry and thrive in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Salary: $70,000 - $78,000
Type: Direct Hire Our client, a well-established and highly respected professional services firm, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will bring accounts payable experience within the legal industry and thrive in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
- Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain AP records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment status
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience
- 2+ years of experience within the legal industry required
- Strong understanding of AP processes, invoice management, and vendor relations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Aderant software
