Alliance Director

Alliance Directors are responsible for oversight of all aspects of service lines provided to a global, multi-site client of CBRE. This role is critical in building and maintaining the client relationship, serving as the primary liaison between CBRE and the client across corporate office, retail, and operational environments. The Alliance Director participates in expanding and managing the growth of the account while acting as a trusted advisor, providing creative and innovative strategies to complex account objectives. The Alliance Director will be a strategic, commercially minded, and operationally disciplined professional who takes pride in ensuring global operations run consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with client priorities.

Job Description

This role requires regular on-site engagement with the client and approximately 40% domestic and international travel to support locations across the portfolio.

• Acts as the single point of contact for overall account operations, ensuring contract compliance across all service lines, geographies, and facility types. Responsible for meeting agreed key performance indicators and service delivery standards.

• Responsible for overall account performance, client satisfaction, and operational excellence.

• Brings forward innovation and improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, workflow automation, employee engagement, and client satisfaction.

• Builds strong relationships with senior business leaders through timely, relevant, and decision-quality communication.

• Aligns cross-functional CBRE teams to meet client needs, including technology, legal, procurement, finance, and operational subject matter experts.

• Partners with CBRE service line platforms to develop and implement solutions that address complex client needs and support portfolio objectives.

• Oversees applicable service lines based on contract structure, including facilities management, workplace experience, sustainability initiatives, supplier management, lease administration, and technology-enabled operations.

• Provides day-to-day leadership to account-based resources and drives consistency across global locations and multiple facility types.

• Leads and develops account team members while fostering collaboration and accountability across the organization.

• Coordinates performance reviews with the client based on agreed KPIs and SLAs. Optimizes existing processes while developing effective operating procedures for the account.

• Supports budget planning, forecasting, and operational goal setting.

• Presents recommendations, analysis, and reporting to the client while ensuring accuracy and alignment with agreed expectations.

• Leads transition and mobilization activities to ensure seamless service delivery and operational continuity.

• Negotiates new management agreements and supports retention, renewal, and expansion opportunities.

• Identifies training needs, tracks performance, develops talent, and motivates direct reports. Oversees hiring, compensation, and performance management activities for account-dedicated employees.

• Develops service delivery models that support a variety of workplace and operational environments while implementing scalable, flexible solutions.

• Leads teams across multiple regions and geographies, promoting consistency, operational excellence, and the sharing of best practices.

• Establishes management and control procedures to ensure all assignments comply with contractual requirements, quality standards, budget expectations, and approved schedules.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university and a minimum of ten years of related experience with emphasis on Facilities Management, Engineering Operations, Transaction Management, Project Management, Consulting, or related disciplines.

• Advanced degree preferred.

• Experience managing multi-site facilities portfolios preferred.

• Experience supporting retail, industrial/distribution, corporate office, or other complex operating environments preferred.

• Global integrated facilities management (IFM) experience across multi-country, multi-site portfolios strongly preferred.

• Experience managing operational transitions and large-scale service delivery programs is highly desirable.

• Industry certifications such as CFM, FMA, or equivalent are preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and executive communication skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of an organization.

• Extensive experience directing and evaluating matrixed, cross-functional teams across multiple regions.

• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 40% of the time, based on business needs.

• Strong understanding of financial concepts and account management practices.

• Demonstrated expertise in resource allocation, implementation strategies, and change management.

• Strong people leadership skills with experience in performance management, coaching, and employee development.

• Excellent technical, analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Proven ability to assess, recruit, develop, and retain talent.

• Familiarity with CAFM, IWMS, CMMS, Service Channel, or comparable facilities management technologies preferred.

• Experience managing contractual KPIs and SLAs preferred.

Annual Budgeting & Forecasting

The Alliance Director will coordinate and consolidate budget forecasts for contracted services in partnership with service line representatives. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting account performance objectives.

• Coordinating budget development and forecasting activities.

• Managing obligations associated with contracted service delivery.

• Supporting operating budget planning and maintenance.

• Estimating costs associated with additional services requested outside the contracted scope.

• Monitoring operational efficiency opportunities and cost management initiatives.

Reporting

The Alliance Director will coordinate, integrate, and manage reporting across all contracted service lines. Reports will be delivered in a timely, consistent, and client-appropriate format. The Alliance Director will present periodic business reviews with client stakeholders and service line representatives, ensuring effective communication of operational performance, strategic initiatives, service delivery outcomes, and client satisfaction results.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Alliance Director position is $200,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Alliance Director position is $225,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
