Our mission is to create sophisticated generative voice bots capable of understanding the nuances of a user's inquiry, providing immediate answers, and ensuring they are seamlessly routed to the most relevant support. You will work at the forefront of innovation, utilizing Amazon's full suite of Bedrock tools and a variety of Large Language Models (LLMs) from providers like Amazon, OpenAI, and Anthropic. This is an opportunity to build and deploy intelligent agents that solve complex, real-world problems in the healthcare space.You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy AI-powered voice solutions to address complex business challenges with an emphasis on the responsible use of AIIntegrate and fine-tune various Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance the intent recognition and conversational capabilities of voice botsArchitect and maintain scalable cloud-based services and APIs that support real-time voice interactionsUse enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate software development tasks, and drive continuous improvement within the engineering lifecycleCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user requirements into technical specifications for generative AI agentsEvaluate emerging trends in conversational AI and LLM technologies to inform solution design and strategic innovationMonitor and optimize the performance of voice bots to ensure high accuracy in query resolution and efficient routingYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree3+ years of programming and software development life-cycle experience2+ years of web service API development experience2+ years of experience in TypeScript/JavaScript, and/or Python development1+ years of experience building applications that utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) or generative AI frameworksPreferred Qualifications:2+ years of experience in Spring Boot with JavaExtensive experience with setting DevOps and CI/CD standardsExperience Cloud/Distributed architecture design patternsExperience in contributing without much supervision*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment.
