Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - PCU/IMC/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a 55-bed PCU unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
• Administer medications and manage PCA pumps, cardizem, and insulin.
• Conduct hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and responsiveness.
• Float to medical-surgical areas as needed to address high demands.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records and Alaris pumps for IV management.
• Adhere to unit policies, including artificial nail restrictions in patient care areas.

Qualifications

• Current RN license and ability to practice in Nebraska.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required, along with NIHSS competency.
• Proficiency in telemetry and use of specialty equipment such as mechanical lifts.
• Experience with adult patient populations, including managing CVA, TIA, and COVID.
• Successful completion of pass/fail and open book exams during orientation.
• Ability to work every other weekend; 12-hour night shifts available.
