Looking for Experienced Manual Hone Operators

We're seeking skilled Manual Honing Machine Operators with hands-on experience running Sunnen or similar honing equipment . If you're a traveler who can hit the ground running, this is an excellent opportunity to earn strong weekly income while working on precision hydraulic components.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate manual honing machines on hydraulic cylinders and precision-machined components
• Achieve tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes
• Read blueprints and technical drawings
• Perform inspections using micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools
• Make machine adjustments and tooling changes to maintain quality and production efficiency
• Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues as needed

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of manual honing experience
• Experience setting up and operating manual hone machines
• Sunnen honing experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances
• Blueprint reading skills
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
• Experience with hydraulic cylinders, grinding, or similar precision machining processes

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
