Facilities Specialist

Our client, a well-established organization in the Richmond area, is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and functional environment, and can handle a variety of building and maintenance needs. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs across the facility, including basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC support, while partnering with external facilities vendors to coordinate and support larger repairs and service projects Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively Respond to service requests and troubleshoot building-related concerns in a timely manner Assist with vendor coordination for larger repairs and scheduled maintenance projects Support office moves, furniture setup, and space adjustments as needed Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner Qualifications 2+ years of facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently Strong attention to detail and reliability in completing tasks Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours Employment Type: Temp-to-hire Opportunity to transition into a long-term role based on performance Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
