About the Position

Job Title: Pediatric CVOR RN Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital pediatric CVOR RN experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital pediatric CVOR RN experience. BLS & ACLS certifications are required. Cardiac / Open Heart surgery experience is required. Description: The Pediatric Operating Room features 8 operating rooms and a dedicated team of staff. The operating room is open from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The team consists of a day shift charge RN, RNs, CST, and anesthesia professionals. Patient ratios are primarily 1:1, though this is estimated and not guaranteed. Candidates with a background in pediatrics are preferred. Experience in CVOR/Cardiac procedures is highly valued. The role includes managing the operating room, assisting surgeons, and monitoring vital signs. Preoperative and postoperative care for patients is a key responsibility. Strong teamwork and effective communication with staff and providers are essential. The unit encourages and supports a collaborative work environment.
