VitalCare Express is an upscale multi-specialty walk-in clinic offering Urgent Care, Primary Care, Gynecology and Nephrology services. We are seeking a skilled Bilingual Medical Receptionist or assistant to join our team and support our mission of providing excellent patient care.

Job Summary:
The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment at VitalCare Express. The ideal candidate will manage front desk operations, including greeting patients, verifying insurance using Availity+ECW, scheduling appointments, and answering phone inquiries. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain efficient clinic workflow to support both clinical and administrative staff.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and provide instructions to all visitors in a polite and professional manner
• Verify insurance eligibility, analyze health insurance benefits, and relay relevant information regarding payment policies and billing/collection processes
• Maintain the readiness of the VitalCare Express reception area
• Perform clerical tasks and follow established office policies and procedures
• Determine and collect each patient’s financial responsibility
• Assist the practice manager and other staff as required
• Provide overall support for Physicians and office operations
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, OSHA)
• Document medical interventions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• May assist next door at VC Esthetics (medical spa) as needed
• Understand our to ensure patients retention, follow up and boost clinic sales plus productivity.
• Ability to market the practice and collect patients payment.

Qualifications:

• Medical office front desk experience
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
• Prefer at least one year of experience in a Primary Care, Emergency Room, or Urgent Care setting.
• Experience with E-Clinical Works (ECW) preferred
• Availability to work 9am to 6pm, including rotating weekends and holidays
• Experience with insurance eligibility and co-pay determination
• Previous medical receptionist experience or general office background
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to keep financial records and perform basic mathematical tasks
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Hours of Operation:
• Monday, Wednesday, Fridays: 9am - 6pm
• Saturday: 9am - 5pm
• Sunday: Closed
