Automation Test Engineer

Mid-Level Test EngineerThe Mid-Level Test Engineer will develop, design, implement, schedule, and execute test plans and procedures. Ensure quality delivery of software, hardware and control systems through testing and peer reviews. Affirm complete understanding and a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. Contribute to completion of specific programs and projects. The candidate will be capable of taking on technically challenging problems and applying engineering best practices to produce reliable, well-documented products. Relocation is not available for this position. Selected candidate must reside within the Charleston area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.Required Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelor of Science degreeKnowledge of GitHub or Atlassian tools, including Bamboo or Bitbucket.Experience with SCADA technologies, especially with Aveva frameworksExperience with using issue tracking software (i.e. JIRA or MS Planner) as part of a team.Experience with Git or equivalent version control systemsExperience working on multiple OS platforms, including Linux and WindowsFamiliarity with different layers of the technology stack, including network, application frameworks, database systems, and vendor solutions.Experience with TCP/IP network architectures and subnetsExperience interpreting hardware specifications and inspecting compliance on hardware installationsAbility to read technical drawings and confirm configuration in the field installationExcellent analytical and technical writing skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to obtain and maintain a secret security clearancePreferred Education, Experience, & Skills:4+ years of specific experience with automated fuel handling equipment and systemsExperience as a DevOps engineerExperience with database query languages and database designSecret security clearancePay Information:Full-Time Salary Range: $79370 - $134929Employee Benefits:At BAE Systems, we support our employees in all aspects of their life, including their health and financial well-being.
