In this role as a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor at Medtronic’s Energy & Component Center (MECC), you will lead a high-performing production team responsible for delivering safe, high-quality medical device components that support life-saving therapies worldwide. MECC serves as a critical manufacturing hub, producing advanced energy-based technologies and precision components that power Medtronic’s global portfolio. As a frontline leader, you will drive operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement on the evening shift. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills. Functional Skills: Machining and Manufacturing Technologies, Proficient computer skills, Data Science and Analysis, Lean Manufacturing and continued improvement, Managing Quality. Minimum Requirements Requires 1+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent. Nice to Have Qualifications Experience leading large frontline manufacturing teams in a highly regulated environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or similar high reliability industries) Proven ability to ramp production capacity, including standing up new shifts, onboarding large assembler populations, and maintaining quality and engagement during rapid growth Background supporting high-volume, high‑throughput production lines with strong focus on takt time, line balancing, and operational stability Experience building scalable training and onboarding programs for frontline operators, including cross training and skill progression models Certification or practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods focused on throughput, waste reduction, and process stability (Green Belt preferred) Working knowledge of GMP/FDA requirements and quality system processes such as CAPA, NCR, and audit support in a high-volume manufacturing setting Demonstrated success developing frontline supervisors, trainers, and lead operators to support long-term operational growth and strong team culture For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$72,000.00 - $108,000.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
