Surgical Technologist

Position Overview:

Maintains sterile field and instrumentation for all surgical procedures. Prepares the operating room and supplies for each surgical case in a neat and efficient manner. The Surgical Technologist (ST) will communicate with all other members of the Perioperative team to give the highest standard of care according to AORN standards for patients in the intraoperative period. The ST works collaboratively with co-workers, stocks and orders of supplies for department. The ST provides additional supportive patient care as directed by others.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist (ST) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Ortho experience
• DaVinci Robot experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years recent O.R. experience preferred.
• Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST) preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Housing: Travelers responsible for own housing. It's extremely expensive , especially in the winter. Please consider housing options in the surrounding towns: Basalt, Carbondale, & Glenwood Springs. $3,500/month is common for a 1BR apartment in Basalt. Travelers looking for a housing budget less than this should probably not be submitted.

Misc: Not accepting any RTO - Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8k elevation)
