Role Description The Attorney will focus primarily on divorce and family law matters, providing legal advice and representation to clients throughout New Jersey. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a caseload of family law matters, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, agreements, and other court documents, and appearing in court, mediation, and settlement conferences. The Attorney will meet with clients, develop case strategies, negotiate settlements, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective and ethical representation. This is a full-time role, with regular in-office work in Mount Laurel, NJ and the flexibility to perform some responsibilities from home, depending on case needs and firm policies. The Attorney is expected to maintain strong professional standards, uphold client confidentiality, and contribute positively to the firm’s culture and reputation. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law and demonstrated experience handling family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support. Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice and guidance to clients facing complex and sensitive situations. Proficiency in Research, including case law, statutes, and procedural rules relevant to New Jersey family law. Effective Negotiation skills for settlements, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution in family law disputes. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in New Jersey. 3-5 years of experience in family law. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting court documents and presenting arguments. High level of professionalism, integrity, and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse clients. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
