We have an immediate opening for a HVAC Systems Design Engineer within our HVAC Group located in Madison, WI. When you join our team, we strive to understand your interests and assign you to projects designed to grow your talent and experience.The successful candidate will:Perform HVAC engineering design calculations, technical comparisons and similar technical work as directed. Prepares studies and reports to evaluate systems and options.Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering concepts and procedures.Review drawings supplied by vendors and clients and provides the appropriate engineering solution to incorporate the design.Prepare complete construction documents that match the client and project team's requirements.Coordinate design with other disciplines.Review shop drawings under the supervision of the Project Engineer or Project Manager.Recommend changes or modifications to projects as appropriate.Respond to RFI's and prepares CB's under supervision.Conduct job site surveys, field observations and develops project punch lists under supervision.Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians in the same department.Delegate work tasks to Designers, and BIM Technicians.Draw and design simultaneously on complex projects.Research code issues and documents findings and reports to supervising engineer.Interact with clients as level of experience progresses.Assist with technical studies and assessments.Perform other duties as assigned.You will need:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering2+ years of experience with an engineering consulting firm or an A I E firm preferredProfessional license preferredExperience in healthcare is a plusWorking knowledge using the latest version of Revit, Bluebeam, as well as Microsoft office Suite of productsAbility to organize and plan efficiently and manage multiple tasks.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency in the applicable Microsoft Suite of products.We encourage professional development and attending seminars to stay current in products, processes and materials and provide continuing education programs to foster your professional development.EEO
