We're currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Security Systems Estimator to join our team. This role offers an opportunity for a former technician to transition into a strategic and detail-oriented position, taking the next step in their professional journey.

As a Security Systems Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in developing design and engineering solutions for sales opportunities. Leveraging your technical expertise, impeccable organizational skills, and drive for excellence, you will analyze plans and specifications for security installations and low voltage solutions. Your ability to record quantities, gather bids, and establish accurate project pricing will contribute to our commitment to delivering outstanding security solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales teams to develop design and engineering solutions for security systems based on client needs.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to assess security installation and low voltage requirements.
• Record quantities and solicit bids from vendors to establish competitive and accurate project pricing.
• Manage multiple projects/estimates concurrently while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Provide end-to-end project engineering support, including material selection and labor estimation.
• Write clear scope of work documents and develop cost estimates in response to bid specifications.
• Ensure alignment between proposed sales prices and actual installation costs.
• Work closely with vendors to secure the best solutions, competitive prices, and timely material deliveries.
• Meet bid schedules and project deadlines with precision and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Special Systems or a related technical/construction field.
• Strong background as a former technician is highly preferred.
• Exceptional first impression skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Highly motivated, results-driven, and ready to advance professionally.
• In-depth knowledge of CCTV, Card Access, Intrusion, Fire Alarm, Audio/Video, and IP network-based system requirements.
• Proficiency in relevant software/tools for estimating and project management.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• 8-5 M-F position in our office in Walnut Creek. This is a fully in-person position, not remote.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual compensation: $80,000.
